A healthy body is a healthy Mind.
So recently i've discovered that our diets are really a very, very important thing to take into consideration.
We all tend to stuff our faces full of all the wrong foods but have no circumstantial information to back up the facts as to what is so bad about the food that we eat.
Well, I have had depression & anxiety a hand full of times, all at various stages. I had insomnia for 6 weeks during a 4 month depression stint, I didn't sleep for 11 nights straight, then get 1 night then not sleep for 6-7nights... I've slept for 23 hours a day & lost 1stone in weight over a couple of weeks, the only way out of that place was anti-depressants...
I've also had just the general feeling of not being quite myself,
a bit spaced out or feeling like your not attached to yourself, kind of like looking through yourself!
So apparently what is not told to us is just exactly what the food we eat is doing to our bodies chemical make-up.
We are infact all killing ourselves by not eating a varied diet, we all eat a lot of bread, milk, cheese, pasta, potatoes, steak, etc.
What we're not told is that most of the foods we eat are Acidic.
They cause our body to increase in acid level & cause instability in ourselves. I've also read research that suggests when someone is dying from Cancer there body becomes more acidic as the disease progresses.
So, when you take into account that we are all made up of 57% water we obviously then have a Ph value.
The Ph of our body should be between 7.36 & 7.44 this is Alkaline not Acid. On a scale of 1-14, 1 being Acid & 14 being Alkaline a ph of 7 being neutral. We are supposed to be slightly Alkaline to feel healthy in body & in mind.
This is a very small Ph zone to stay within, especially when you take into account that almost all of the foods & drinks that we enjoy and eat/drink are mainly Acidic.
After looking into a few things online I decided to have a trip to the local health food shop, its a small shop based in Ramsgate, its been there for as long as I can remember, my nan used to go there & so my mum does & now so do I.
They do amazing natural peanut butter! But shhhhh its all mine...
So I have had a fluffy tongue for a while... Its not thrush is all I know. Asked the very helpful Owner what he could suggest & he came out with Candida and suggested I took some Pro-Biotics for a month along with Not eating a whole lot of foods, i'd basically have to become pretty much a full on veggie for a month to make this go away...
Now, I had heard of Candida before due to looking around on the internet for things that I could attribute to having a few of the symptoms that can be associated with Candida.
I kind of stumbled upon a few pages of internet that really helped me understand why I feel how I feel & what I can do to help myself.
I hope this helps someone out there.
